Driver Recruiter

The Driver Recruiter will recruit truck drivers for all of Contract Transport Services’ operating needs/growth opportunities to meet company staffing requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – Other duties may be assigned

  • Recruiting, interviewing, and orientation of new drivers
  • Initiate background checks, pre-employment and random drug testing
  • Create and maintain driver qualification files for drivers
  • Coordinate driver uniform program
  • Coordinate driver training assignments

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain OSHA records and reporting requirements
  • Assist safety director as needed
  • Must work well independently and in a team environment
  • Ad-hoc participant in teams intended to improve business processes

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED/HSED with a minimum of three years related experience; knowledge of hiring practices and driver qualifications
