DRIVER MANAGER
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitoring, tracking, and dispatching all direct report drivers
- Maintaining accurate data in the driver communication device
- Accurate Mileage
- Alignment of all start and stop locations
- Maintain X-calls from drivers with all accuracy
- Manage drivers’ ETAs, PTAs, and RTAs
- Handle payroll inquiries and work to resolve issues for drivers
- Establishing and maintaining a positive and productive work relationship with drivers
- Keep track of driver routes
- Contact customer service when detentions occur and work to keep drivers moving
- Monitor the number of hours each driver has in to avoid HOS violations
- Maintaining timely, accurate, and courteous customer service with internal customers and external customers
- Resolving issues as they occur, working with team members when uncertain of the correct resolution, and when taking matters to the customer, providing a solution along with the situation
- Coordinating load assignments for drivers with planners
- Job dedication; work scheduled hours, arrive on time and leave when the work is complete
- Paying attention to details
- Providing disciplinary actions to drivers when needed
- Being a part of a team that works to maintain drivers and avoid driver turnover
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED/HSED with a minimum of one year related experience
- Knowledge of DOT regulations
